  • BCH 120 – Clicker Faculty Learning Community

The Clicker Faculty Learning Community (FLC) is a group of instructors on campus who are heavily vested in using clickers to enhance their instruction. The Clicker FLC is an opportunity for instructors to share ideas on how to improve their students' academic performance while using clickers. All instructors are welcome to attend, even if you have never used clickers before.

~ LIGHTNING ROUND (BCH 121)

A "Lightning Round" is a brief demonstration of several free technologies that instructors can use to enhance their instruction. Each technology will be demonstrated by an EdTech student worker. Each student worker will only have 5 minutes to present their technology. If you are unable to attend the Lightning Round session on Thursday, March 16, an encore session will be available during lunch on Friday, March 17.

~ VCC OPEN HOUSE (BCH 213)

The Video Communications Center is an integral part of Global Learning and Distance Education at Missouri S&T.  In 1985 the VCC began its operations by recording video tapes of courses for checkout in the library as well as pioneering some satellite broadcasts throughout the nation.  By 1999 they were delivering lectures live to distance students worldwide and had secured their spot as a leader in the growing field of distance education.  The VCC currently delivers hundreds of high quality, real-time, live courses each year and provides archived recordings for students to review throughout the semester.  Visit Butler-Carlton 213, one of our 9 studio classrooms, to see how we accomplish this and to try out the technology for yourself!

~ Missouri Distance Learning Association Meeting

The Missouri Distance Learning Association (part of the USDLA) is a nonprofit membership based organization dedicated distance learning in the state of Missouri. This session is to discuss the changes to the association moving forward and is open to all members or anyone who is interested in finding out more about MoDLA and what we have to offer.

~ Vendor Fair / Reception

The Vendor Fair & Reception is an opportunity to meet with other attendees, see the various wares and products on display, and win great door prizes! (You must be present to win the end-of-the-day door prizes...)
